Justin had his Farewell... oops Brock said it was just a "Speaking assignment"... on Sunday. It was such a WONDERFUL DAY!!!! Thanks to all who helped, I couldn't have done it without the help from family and friends. I can't believe he leaves in 15 days... so much to do still! I am so very proud of him and his choices, he is a great example to the rest of my kids! I can't wait to hear all of his neat experiences and to see his testimony and spirit grow!

I thought for everyone that couldn't make it would be great to see everyone in there comfort zone as a there true nature came out. Exceptionally BRAUN! Just so you know he didn't have to go far to find what he wore it was in his closet. HA HA Braun!

The book was a big hit! Dad loved the book he just kept looking at it. Thanks everyone for making it such a success.

Mom had everyone bring Hillbilly food. some of the food was hot dogs in a blanket, little Smokey's, pickled eggs, and homemade root beer.

What a great get-up Braun I ex specially love the out house behind them. It really adds to the whole look.

For Dads Birthday we want to have everyone write a Journal page or scrapbook/Journal page of a memory of Dad. You can be creative and put pic's or just write some memory of him. Then we will make a book of them for his birthday. That means all grandchildren too. Have fun with it, make more than one if you would like. I was also having my neighbor put together a little something for all the grandkids to say. Please have this done before the 1st of April. If you can't be there for Easter Please send it to Heidi. Pregnant!!

That's right! We are pregnant...and so excited. I am 11 weeks and

due September 4, 2010. Looking forward to having an August baby though

(wink, wink, hint, hint). I have been sick and worse this time than last but still really nothing to complain about. I never believed it when everyone

said every pregnancy is different but I believe it now. It all pays off in the end though!

OK, so most of you know we have had a little accident here. Justin was driving his girlfriend Abby to Sadie's in the truck (on his birthday). He hit black ice on the overpass and rolled the truck off the overpass about 3-4 times. He is o.k. physically, and Abby is coming home from the hospital tomorrow. She will have a long recovery ahead of her... I thought I would post some pictures of the truck for those of you who wanted to see... We thank Heavenly Father each day for our blessings, that it wasn't worse. Justin and Abby were truly protected and watched over, it should have been much worse.

I'm sure you all heard but Brock got a job with Layton City. Today was his first day and he loved it. He will be over their Parks Department. It will be a great job and a great long term employment opportunity for our family. We are so proud of him - there were over 170 people who applied for the job and HE GOT IT!!! Happy Holidays Everyone! We hope that this holiday season finds everyone happy and healthy. Our family is busy as ever and Alysssa is literally counting down each day until she gets baptized. And Drayton really needs to go to school next year before I go crazy from trying to entertain him. Vernal had a really cool Holly Days Celebration the Friday after Thanksgiving. We went all day and only hit about 1/4 of all the fun free stuff. Jump houses, movies, ice skating, free food, ect... It was fun. We may have to have you all come out for it next year. Hopefully we are in our new house by then. We love you all!

I'm so excited to see everyone and can't wait. Plus I've been shut away in my house for the past few weeks so being around actual people is amazing! I can bring rolls and a salad or something. I'm not very creative on what to bring so if anyone has a good idea and is already bringing something else then let me know. Plus I need volunteers for food on Sunday. We are not doing anything huge. Dave (Dillon's dad) is making dutch oven chili and then we are having 4 other soups, rolls, salad and dessert. We still need 2 soups, 2 green salads, 2 rolls or breadsticks, and 2 desserts. I think that should cover it. So if anyone is willing to bring something extra than the Thanksgiving stuff then that would be greatly appreciated. Last Fri. Nov. 7 Justin and the Syracuse Titan's beat Pleasant Grove in the 5A State football playoffs. We now travel Thursday to Rice Eccles Stadium at The University of Utah to play Alta in the semi-finals. The winner will play the winner of the Brighton vs. Skyline game for the State championships. Go Titans!!!

He's here!!! We are both so excited and happy to have our little baby in our arms. Elijah James Kotter was born on October 24 weighing 9lbs 3oz and 21 inches long. Elijah is our BIG little boy and we LOVE him. He had a hard first few days in the hospital, but he is part Hill so he pulled right out of it. Now he is as healthy as can be and has a very healthy appetite. He is perfect and just what Dillon and I need.

Justin's football team, the Syracuse Titans are going to the state playoffs. They just finished the regular season 8-2 after winning a tough game at Davis High. They took 2nd in their region behind Layton High in only their second year of playing football (he's number 78 in the picture). They play Kearn's High at home this fri. oct. 31. Go titans!!!

Hey Everyone!!

So I'm letting you all know kind of what Dillon and I are thinking. We are totally game for the 22nd and 23rd of March, but we totally understand the whole trailer and mud situation so the very best weekend would be the 18th and 19th of April. That gives basically one more month for things to warm up and dry out a little. Plus Dillon will be out of school for a few days and we will have his full attention. The weekend of the 5th and 6th(which is General Conference), is not good for us. We will be in Salt Lake visiting the Kotters. So that is our ideas...Although we will try to work things out to be there. WE LOVE ALL OF YOU AND CANT WAIT TO SEE EVERYONE!!! Families are forever you know!!

The Christmas Party is set for February 9th!!!! We are having the party here at Brock & Vicki's, so how about we eat at 1:00 and open presents about 3:00, so that anyone that wants to go with us, can go to the Church's World Wide Training at 6:00. SOOOO what is UP with our Christmas party? Mom said that all her Saturdays are open for the month of January. Holly said that she can do it on the 5th and the 12th. I can do it any Saturday but the 5th. Braun said he can do it on the 12th. So I'm putting it out there lets try and do it on the 12th. If that is a problem please post it. Sorry, everyone for not updating the blog earlier. Life for us is out of control. We are dealing with Ruth (Vicki's mom), her cancer, and a recent surgery. Everyday is a blessing that we still have her with us. We are uncertain what the future holds for mom, or how long she will still be with us. We thank Heavenly Father for the extended time we have had with her and love and respect her for her life and example of unwavering faith, charity, and service.

We look forward to seeing you all in January and wish the blessings of the Lord be poured out upon you and your families.

That's right. I finally figured my google account out so I could sign in and finally join the family fun. I think it will be fun to keep in touch with everyone a lil' better and know what is going on in everyones live. We are excited for Thanksgiving and I can't wait to try to make another pie. Hi everyone, I thought this would be helpful.Putting photos on the blog is easy, but there are some tricks that will give a better result. Here are a few things I've learned:

1. Save the photo on your computer in your photo storage location. For best photo quality, have the picture sized the size you want it to be on the blog (less than 400 px. wide). It will help those with slow internet connection if people optimize the photo file size to less than 15.5 kb, but some people may not have a program that does this. It's not essential, it just helps the page to load faster.

2. Open a new post. In blogger all photos load at the top, so if you're doing multiple photos, upload the lowest ones first.

3. Click on the little icon that looks like a photo. This will open a window where you find the photo on your computer and also choose the size and location of the photo.

4. Under "Add an image" choose browse and find the photo on your computer. Double click the picture to put the location in the bar.

5. Choose the location for the photo (left, center, or right) and the size (small, medium, or large.) To make the photo the same size as you saved it on your computer, choose large (this will give the best picture quality.)

6. Click "Upload photo" and then "done" when the picture shows up.

If you need to move pictures within your post:
(PC directions, but I think it's similar on Mac.)

Click on the photo in the post, then do control X to cut. Put the curser on the line you want to picture to show up (it will go to left, center, or right depending on the location you selected.) Do control V to paste the photo back in. It's very easy to move pictures around this way, much easier than trying to drag them where you want them.

Brooke and Brittney helped Firth win the runner-up trophy at State, both ran great. Thanks, Dad, Mom, Steve, Holly and family for coming up and supporting the girls, we were thrilled to see you all. Vicki and I were talking earlier today. We haven't heard from anyone other than Bree about what their schedules are like. We were thinking that if we did Dinner around 5 or 6 then Bree could probably join us. What that does is forces everyone else decide what to do for Sunday. The invitation is open that you are all welcome to stay you will just have to make arrangements for your Sunday obligations. We took the girls to hannah montana they loved it. They were filming a movie that day and so the concert lasted till 11 then they got to be interviewed after the concert. They didnt seem happy so I dont know if they will make it on the movie or not. We also got to move from the upper bowl down closer to the floor. It was alot of fun to be with shi. I also thought everyone would like to see what the kids were for halloween. Don't I look good also. I hope everyone had a fun halloween we did. I guess we will see everyone at thanksgiving. Love Ya

So I have a question...I can't get work off on the 17th...so the very earliest I can get off is 12(that's if i can only work a half of a shift) but it will most likely be 3:30 that I get off. So I just wanted to know what time the whole Thanksgiving thing was going down. If its earlier say 1-3, we probably won't come but if its later like 6:30 or 7, we could probably book it down there and make it. But if its earlier say 3:30-4, I could also beg my bosses for only a half of a day and see what they say. I know that it is impossible to get everyone together at once, but I just wanted to make my very best effort. And please don't change anything around just let me know the time and I'll go from there. Hey everyone! We are so happy that Bree's MRI came back so well. It really helps when you can see the blessings come into your life. We can't wait to see everyone for Thanksgiving. We will bring rolls and Tyler wants to bring a strawbwerry pie if I can find strawberries. (If not we'll bring something along that line.) Also we were wondering if we could crash at Brock and Vicki's on Friday night. We have to be back to Roosevelt for the Primary Program on Sunday.
All is well and we are happy that we survived soccer. But the break won't last long, basketball season is about to start for Devin. And Ashley has her first orchestra concert tomorrow. Alyssa is the social butterfly of first grade. And Drayton is enjoying helping Tyler winterize tractors on Thursday for his Uncle Shane. Let me know if we need to bring anything else. See ya later! WELL I GUESS YOU COULD SAY THERE WERE A FEW CHANGES...ORIGINALLY THERE WERE EIGHT SPOTS AND NOW THERE IS ONLY ONE!! I HAD TWO BLESSINGS AFTER THE ORIGINALLY TOLD ME IT WAS M.S. Well...I finally was able to schedule my MRI. I just had it done yesterday. So $2,300 later and a small bruise on my arm, it is actually over with for one more year. Now for the hard part...My doctor's appointment is Thursday. Pray for the best. Other than that we have just been working hard. Dillon finally had his double major approved for good! He has been a dairy farmer for the past few months and is now finishing that job and will be tutoring for Business Communications and possibly Accounting. We are excited to finally get a move on with our life. Hopefully we will be able to make it to Thanksgiving so we can actually see everyone. With lots of love from "Ice"burg.

We are going to have a Thanksgiving Feast at the Brock Hill House on November 17th. Anyone who wants to come on Friday is welcome, and anyone who wants to stay until Sunday is welcome also. Steve and Holly are bringing the Turkey and Ham. I will make the Mashed Potatoes and Mormon Delight.

*Rolls *Vegetables *Salads (Pasta,Green,Fruit,etc.) *Whatever else is yummy for Thanksgiving, AND everyone please bring their favorite PIE to share (Please write what pie you are going to bring so we don't all bring the same). Remember to plan on bringing enough for (I don't know how many there are of us, but about 40+) .

As you all know this time of year our life revolves around Cross-Country. Brooke and Brittney are really running great for the Firth Girls Varsity team. Brooke has been a top runner all year and Brittney over the past couple weeks has improved greatly to finish right with Brooke the past three races. They are a week and a half away from district and three weeks away from State which will be in Idaho Falls. Katelyn is dominating the Jr. High races around our area. Brett turned 40 this year and wanted to run another Marathon. So we had a conference weekend vacation in St. George. He had a goal to break 2:40 which He barely did by 17 seconds, by running 2:39.43 and finished 36th out of around 6000 runners. He was the third place master runner, so he didn't win us a trip to Japan. Shannon is finishing up her envelope stuffing job, which has been fun for her, the kids, and Breeanna. They made good money to put toward college and other fun stuff.

I know there are other things going on, but i just don't know about them.

Last night, Sept. 30, we were together as the Thorne Family and as we watched a video from our latest camping trip, I sat there realizing how blessed Vicki and I are to have such great families. Hey everyone!!! We just wanted to say hi. Dillon starts school on Wednesday and he is so excited...I think. He starts into some of his hard classes for his business major. But we are excited to get that much closer to being done with his bachelors. I'm just going to keep working hard and hopefully they will promote me to supervisor. That would be pretty cool... Other than that I just have the MRI coming up the first or second week of October. So everyone pray for the best...because if everything works out then we can try to add a baby to our little family. We are so excited so hopefully everything turns out in our favor. We love you guys and can't wait to see everyone again. Labor Day was way fun and so good to be together.
